Marketer Mike – Internet Marketing Tips

It’s Mike Jones here. I wanted to talk a bit about internet marketing and give some tips that I have learned over the years. When I first started doing internet marketing about 10 years ago, I realized that the internet had potential to make a lot of money.

It was not easy in the beginning, especially back then. It was hard to find ways to market because the internet was not as big as it is today. Sites like YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook did not exist. I wasn’t able to use these sources to drive traffic to my websites. However, I did make a lot of money by doing media buying. I would buy advertising space on popular websites that were targeted towards my niche.

These advertisements would direct to products that I created. One example was a bodybuilding product. I would advertise on major health related sites that directed to my bodybuilding ebook. It wasn’t hard to get sales because the competition was pretty low years ago. These days, there are a lot more internet marketers out there.

The most important tip that I can give is this one:

1) Think outside the box

If you go to internet marketing forums, you will read a lot about how to make money online. People give a lot of different ideas. However, there is one common theme that has always worked for me with internet marketing. It has always been to go with my own ideas.

You have to realize that if you find information from another place, there is a good chance that it is close to saturated or that many people are already doing the exact same thing. You need to think of different variations about how to market products, and act upon those ideas.

The top marketers on the internet are genuine entrepreneurs. They create their own products or they find methods of traffic generation that nobody else uses, and they take advantage of them. This is how you will succeed on the internet.

Don’t expect to become rich overnight. Success with internet marketing only comes with experience. There are many people that want to find a push button solution, but the reality is that it doesn’t exist.

The second most important thing I want to tell you is this:

2) Don’t wait to market.

The internet changes at a rapid pace. I am doing things online right now that I never would have thought of 10 years ago. The reason is because the sites didn’t exist, so there was no way of using them. In the future, more sites are going to pop up. Therefore, act upon your ideas right now. Sooner or later, you will be able to have multiple online income streams set up.

Make sure that you put full action into a method for making money online. If it doesn’t work, move on and get over it. There is nothing that can prevent you from succeeding online. In fact, you can make a lot of money online by not spending any money at all.

Some people believe that it takes money to make money. This is not true on the internet. You just need high traffic markets to target, and if you supply them with the right products and services, you will be able to make money.
